When we come to you, you're paying for a minimum of an hour and we need to find space in our schedule -- and yours to accomodate our travel time as well as the on-site time to solve your computer problems.
Bringing your computer to us, while less expensive than on-site (housecall) service, requires you to disconnect your computer, be without it for several days and then you need to pick it up,
bring it back to your location, reconnect it and get your Internet connection reconfigured.
You probably put off fixing minor aggravating problems for extended periods of time to avoid either of these scenarios.
